Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord and flautist piano over 3 years. She was able to survive on her student stipend while working part time jobs. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied about her performances in comparison to her peers. Then she began to consider other options. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground. She left the band before they appeared on I.T.V's Talent show New Faces. She was the lead singer to The Tourists (a British popband) between 1977 and 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom she would form the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox started working on her debut solo album Diva that was out in 1992. Commercially and critically it was a huge success. Nostalgia Lennoxs Six solo album was released in the month of October 2014. was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her favourite blues and soul tracks. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera an album comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut solo album, and is a sequel to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter who was born on December 25, 1954. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox and Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, went on to gain international recognition in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. Lennox launched her own solo career when she released her debut album Diva in the year 1992. This was the source of many hit songs like"Why" and "Walking through the Broken Glass. Medusa her 1995 studio album includes cover versions of tracks like No MoreI I Love Yous and A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her credits include seven studio albums by herself and one compilation.
